Senior Engineer-Test Automation

Role Overview: As a critical contributor to an ambitious strategic initiative aimed at re-envisioning a broad suite of enterprise-level applications, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software delivered by the development team through a balanced blend of automated and manual testing. Your role goes beyond validating functionality as you champion company standards, continuous improvement, and a culture of quality across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Key Responsibilities: - Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, regression, and performance scenarios. - Translate business and technical requirements into meaningful manual and automated test cases. - Provide actionable feedback to Business Analysts to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and traceable. - Design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks. - Define KPIs (defect leakage, test pass rate, code coverage) and generate dashboards for release readiness decisions. - Partner with application developers to troubleshoot issues and document defects. - Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and support knowledge sharing. Qualification Required: - 6-9 years of experience in software quality engineering with a focus on automation for web and API-based applications. - Proficiency in C#/.NET Core, test frameworks (Selenium/Playwright/SpecFlow), and API testing tools (Postman/Jmeter). - Hands-on experience with CI/CD, and Azure/AWS cloud services. - Strong SQL skills and experience validating data across relational and NoSQL stores. - Proven ability to design, implement, and scale automation frameworks in a collaborative, Agile environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate complex quality risks and solutions. - A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
