Senior Engineer - Sustain Design-3

Execute engineering design tasks (3D/2D modeling, drawings, documentation) using CAD tools like Creo , SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, AutoCAD, etc.

Apply ISO Geometrical Product Specifications ( ISO GPS ) per automotive standards; convert legacy 2D drawings to 3D models.

Collaborate with global engineering teams and customers to support design-related activities and ensure alignment with project goals.

Create and update Assembly Bills of Materials (BOMs) to maintain accurate product structures.

Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) tools like Teamcenter for efficient document and data management.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.

Maintain and improve design standards, work instructions, and drafting practices.

Ensure compliance with BorgWarner standards, confidentiality, and quality systems.

Mentor peers; review and check drawings to meet FTR (First Time Right) targets.

Perform basic analysis using CAD layouts, stack-ups, and FEA tools.

Participate in safety audits.

Bachelor s degree in mechanical; Production; Automotive; electrical & Electronics; Electronics & communication; Mechatronics engineering.

Minimum of 4-7 years in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and drawing release

Expert in Creo (2000+ hours preferred), working knowledge of SolidWorks, UG and Catia

Strong expertise in ISO GPS , drawing interpretation, and Microsoft Office tools

Experience in casting design and manufacturing processes; understanding of casting-machining relationships

Familiar with tooling, pattern making, and casting methods (sand, permanent Mold, investment)

Knowledge of turbocharger components is a plus.

Exposure to iron casting technology, tooling, and international standards

Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills required
