Senior Engineer - Roads

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Good command of written and verbal English
• Significant experience in highway infrastructure design including horizontal and vertical design (highways, junctions and roundabouts) highway detailing, traffic signs, road markings, kerbs, pavements, vehicle tracking and highways drainage.
• Fully conversant with software like Civil 3d / Open roads
• UK or International project experience in the application of DMRB/AASTHO/Eurocodes/Africa - Red Book part 1& 2
• Problem solving and originality.
• Cultural awareness, conscientious and an open mind are essential requirements for the role.
• High degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision.
• Ability to check work to ensure quality deliverables.
• A proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel is also expected.Desired skills but not essential
• Project management and line management welcomed but not essential
