Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of the Power & Signal Business Unit (PSBU) in Molex, where you will lead the design and development of high-power cable assemblies. Your role will involve owning projects end-to-end, serving as the primary technical contact for customers, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, compliant, and cost-effective designs. Key Responsibilities: - Drive new product development for high-power cable assemblies through the Product Development Cycle as the process owner for assigned accounts. - Act as the first point of contact for customers on technical queries related to high-current and high-voltage assemblies, participating in technical calls across global time zones. - Review customer requirements (VOC) including voltage/current ratings, thermal performance, EMI/EMC, and environmental exposure to assess feasibility and create concept/technical specifications. - Take connector considerations and limitations into account during cable assembly integration to ensure proper fit, performance, and reliability. - Prepare technical data for costing, including conductor selection, terminal choice, shielding, sealing solutions, and insulation strategies. - Create and release 2D/3D drawings, harness schematics, and specifications; maintain updates in Work Manager/ECTR. - Initiate and track Engineering Change Notices (ECN/ECR) as required. - Lead design reviews and participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, and assembly feasibility reviews. Qualifications Required: - Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering. - 7+ years of post-qualification experience in product development, preferably in high-power/high-voltage cable assemblies. - Strong understanding of the full product lifecycle, including design, development, validation, and qualification. - Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across different organizational levels. - Effective work planning and prioritization skills.
