Senior Engineer - Plant Maintenance

As a Senior Engineer Maintenance at Weir Minerals in Bangalore, India, your primary responsibility will be to optimize machinery and equipment uptime to ensure the achievement of operational plans. You will play a crucial role in transforming the maintenance culture from a reactive breakdown and repair approach to a systems-based, structured problem-solving methodology. **Key Responsibilities:** - Champion safety as a core value within the Maintenance Department, ensuring injury prevention while maintaining operational performance. - Apply strong technical knowledge of PLC and CNC machine controls, including the monitoring and maintenance of electrical equipment. - Promote a proactive mindset by fostering a culture that views equipment failures as preventable through systematic problem solving. - Drive improvements in equipment and machinery reliability, using machine uptime as a key performance indicator. - Strengthen organizational capability by implementing lean tools such as 6S, Process Management, TPM, standardized work, and rapid cycle improvements. - Maximize plant uptime and process efficiency through predictive and preventative maintenance strategies, leveraging the SAP system for planning and execution. In terms of Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications, you should possess: - Diploma or bachelor's degree (BE) in Electrical Engineering. - 6 to 8 years of relevant industry experience. - Strong foundational knowledge in engineering principles and maintenance practices. - Proven experience working with industrial machinery and equipment. - Familiarity with safety standards and operational protocols. - Demonstrated ability to apply technical expertise in a practical, results-driven environment.
