Senior Engineer - High Rise Building

The Senior Engineer High Rise Building is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all engineering and technical aspects of high-rise construction projects. The role involves managing structural design, supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

• Lead and manage the structural engineering design and construction of high-rise buildings (typically 20+ stories).
  
• Review and approve structural and architectural plans, calculations, and specifications.
  
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers, site engineers, and technical staff.
  
• Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure design intent and construction methods are properly aligned.
  
• Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues that may arise during construction.
  
• Prepare engineering reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
  
• Ensure timely execution of project deliverables within budget and schedule constraints.
  
• Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize design and reduce costs.
  
• Oversee procurement of structural materials and review vendor/subcontractor technical submissions.
  
• Coordinate with MEP, faade, geotechnical, and other disciplines for interface issues.
  
• Ensure all works adhere to relevant local building codes, international standards, and environmental regulations.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  
• Professional Engineering License or Chartered status (preferred or as per local requirements).
  
• 8–15 years of experience in construction and design of high-rise buildings.
  
• Proven experience managing high-rise projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use) of 20+ stories.
  
• Strong knowledge of structural systems (RC, PT, steel), construction techniques, and sequencing for high-rise buildings.
  
• Familiar with international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocode, etc.) and local authority regulations.
  
• Proficient in structural analysis/design software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, etc.).
  
• Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
