Senior Engineer - Geotechnical

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of projects working closely with and being supported by other team members, Project Managers, and Directors within the UK team. As a specialist/expert within the UK&IE based Geotech Team, you will work predominantly on a variety of geotechnical projects across the UK. Your responsibilities will include the development of professionally and technically competent reports by utilizing efficient working practices to provide industry-leading, best value services to our clients. You will provide support in all aspects of project delivery, including financial analysis, client liaison, public and statutory body consultation, quality control, management of specialists, contractors, and sub-consultants. You will be responsible for effectively managing and delivering project work with robust project financial management, having budget responsibility for the delivery of projects and services. Additionally, you will assist in the management and delivery of project work, manage, motivate, mentor, and develop supporting professional staff. Your role will involve providing support in all aspects of project delivery, meeting high technical standards, required quality, and staying within the allotted budget. It is essential to work in accordance with accepted methods and legislation (including CDM) and operate in accordance with WSP's corporate health & safety, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards. You will be expected to take ownership of aspects of SHEQ management across the geotechnical team. Furthermore, you will undertake your own continuing professional development and show management of others across a team to maintain and build professional capability. Ideally, you should be a Chartered Engineer from a reputed professional body membership (preferably ICE, UK) or working towards achieving the chartered engineer status.,
