Senior Engineer-Freight Management

As a Senior Engineer in Freight Management at ZF Aftermarket, you will be responsible for examining and processing freight invoices for various modes of transport such as land, sea, and air cargo, as well as special transports, express, and parcel services. You will edit, create, and share credits to different forwarders, ensuring accuracy in cargo invoice processing. Additionally, you will address and resolve complaints related to freight invoices directly with carriers or service providers, coordinating with other departments when necessary. Your role will also involve generating meaningful statistical analyses and key figures based on accounting data, documenting issues with forwarders for performance evaluation, and implementing measures to enhance forwarders" performance. Furthermore, you will serve as a point of contact for freight auditing within internal departments and with external freight forwarders. The ideal candidate for this position should possess around 2-3 years of experience in Freight Management, demonstrating a strong understanding of freight-related processes and systems. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office, particularly in MS Excel and Power Point, is essential. The ability to extract data from systems and create customized analyses, such as in Power BI, is highly desirable. Attention to detail, a commitment to delivering high-quality results, and the capability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and within tight deadlines are crucial. A flexible, team-oriented approach, intercultural competence, and professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) are required, with knowledge of German considered advantageous.
