Senior Engineer - Estimation (Mechanical)

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the complete Estimation of the process for Equipments, (like Shell and tube Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Columns) ensuring compliance with International Codes, Standards and relevant Customer specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT LIMITED TO)

To review the Client specification and understand the Scope of work, Technical (Design and Materials) requirement, and any criticalities therein. To optimize the design for performance, reliability, and cost, adhering to Project required Specification and Standards.

To completely understand the specification requirement for the materials and prepare the Material Procurement Specification for the Raw material Estimation (before PO).

To coordinate with the Client for the successful closure of the Technical Queries (before PO). To coordinate with the Procurement team for obtaining the lowest possible Raw materials prices.

To carry out the individual component Estimation based on the sizing arrived from the Engineering and to meet the Specification requirements.

To organize the discussion with all the stake holders / management for the agreement on the criticality on the Manufacturing.

On time submission of offers to client meeting their deadlines To have close interaction with the Marketing team to ensure the follow up for the tenders and order conversion.

For orders converted, ensure the pre bid specifications and requirements are transferred to the projects and concern stake holders. Preparation of Lost Order Analysis and maintaining the lessons learnt database.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT LIMITED TO)

Should be able to work as a team. Should be able to adapt Departmental Work Instructions.

Should be able to communicate well within and outside the department as per the need.

Should be able to understand the company IMSP requirements and meet the same.

Should be able to contribute to Kaizen requirements.

Should be able to travel (Domestic / International) to client place for any discussions / meeting.

Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Adhere to the departmental KPI / KRA.

TECHNCIAL EXPERTISE REQUIRED

Good and proficient knowledge required on the below Software / Applications.

Basic Knowledge of PVELITE

Basic Knowledge of HTRI

Basic Knowledge of FEA

Adaptations of ERP and PDMS systems

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION

Bachelors in Engineering / Technology,

MECHANCIAL ENGINEERING CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

EXPERIENCE

8+ Years, in the above Key responsibilities, worked in the Manufacturing Unit of Process Equipments
