As a Software Engineer 1 - Development at FIS, you will play a crucial role in advancing the world of fintech. Your responsibilities include: - Having knowledge of the financial services industry - Understanding end-to-end systems development life cycles such as waterfall, iterative, and other modern approaches - Demonstrating proficiency in Java, JEE design patterns, and their application - Developing and understanding sequence diagrams, class models, and UML - Working with technologies like JEE, Struts, Spring, JMS, and Core Java - Utilizing HTML5, AngularJS, jQuery, and REST web services in Agile methodology - Designing solutions and defining requirements leveraging model-driven design based tools - Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences - Making analytical decisions and solving problems efficiently - Estimating work effort for projects and ensuring successful completion - Demonstrating a positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsiveness to clients The Investment Accounting team at FIS is a group of highly talented individuals focused on providing top products for Fund accounting. They work on US, UK, and International Fund accounting systems, delivering award-winning investment operations and data solutions to Buy Side Asset Managers globally. Your main responsibilities will include: - Developing core versions of software applications for external clients in SaaS and On-premises - Identifying business and technical specifications through Product Management or client representatives - Collaborating with engineering groups for design and development/enhancement of software - Engaging in multiple projects with a focus on timely delivery, quality, and productivity - Having hands-on experience with Java, JEE, Spring, Struts, HTML5, Angular, Oracle, and REST Service - Possessing domain knowledge in Investment Accounting To qualify for this role, you will need: - Bachelor of Engineering in IT/Computer Science - Strong proficiency in Java, Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Angular/TypeScript - Experience working in Agile methodology Additionally, it would be a bonus if you have: - Experience delivering leveraging SAFe framework - Fluent in English with excellent communication skills - Organized approach and ability to manage and adapt priorities - Self-starter with a team mindset Joining FIS offers you the opportunity to learn, grow, and make an impact in your career.
