Senior Engineer, AVP

Role Overview: As a Technology Service Specialist at Deutsche Bank, you will be responsible for investigating, architecting, designing, and recommending backup and recovery solutions with a strong emphasis on cyber security and cyber resiliency. Working as part of a cross-functional agile delivery team, you will collaborate closely with the Storage Team to ensure the delivery of backup and recovery services to banking sector clients. Key Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional backup services globally, focusing on simplicity and cyber security - Enhance backup strategies to address disaster recovery scenarios, including ransomware attacks - Identify, define, communicate, and implement Improvement Plans for infrastructure robustness - Lead backup infrastructure deployment and management - Troubleshoot backup, tape, and storage issues efficiently - Coach and develop peers and participate in on-call rotations as necessary - Drive vendor engagement to ensure service levels - Establish backup standards and best practices for compliance - Collaborate with platform and application teams to address backup-related gaps Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or 5 to 8 years of related experience in TSM administration - Minimum 10 years of experience in backup and recovery operations - Experience with backup technologies such as Spectrum Protect, Cobalt Iron, Cohesity, Rubrik, Azure Backup, AWS Backup, Google DR backup Data Protector - Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems, scripting languages, and automation tools About Deutsche Bank: Deutsche Bank is committed to empowering its employees to excel together every day by acting responsibly, thinking commercially, taking initiative, and working collaboratively.
