About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer with deep expertise in IoT hardware design and high-scale production, who has personally taken a product from concept to 100,000+ units in production. You'll lead the design, development, and optimization of embedded hardware systems for our IoT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design embedded hardware systems using ESP32, EC200U, LoRa, Bluetooth, and battery-powered architectures.
- Lead schematic design, component selection, PCB layout review, and BOM optimization for scalable production.
- Integrate and validate energy metering (E-metering) components and battery management systems.
- Work closely with firmware, mechanical, and production teams to ensure design-for-manufacture (DFM) and design-for-test (DFT) principles.
- Own the complete lifecycle: prototype ? field trials ? certification ? mass production (100k+ units).
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to manage production, testing, and QA.
- Drive continuous improvement in hardware cost, reliability, and performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Essential:
- 6+ years of experience in embedded hardware design for IoT products.
- Strong expertise with ESP32, Quectel EC200U, LoRa, Bluetooth, and low-power designs.
- Hands-on experience with E-metering, power management, and battery-operated systems.
- Proven track record of end-to-end product development and scale-up to 100,000+ units.
- Experience in certification processes (CE, RoHS, etc.) and testing procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with field issues during scale.
- Preferred:
- Experience with firmware/driver integration and hardware bring-up.
- Familiarity with production testing jigs, factory setups, and QA processes.
- Passionate about energy efficiency, sustainability, and smart devices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
