Senior Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and Development:

  Designing, developing, and upgrading electrical components and machinery.

• Project Management:

  Leading design projects, coordinating schedules, and managing project budgets.

• Technical Oversight:

  Providing technical consultation, conducting research, and participating in ongoing learning.

• Supervision and Mentorship:

  Supervising other engineers, mentoring junior staff, and providing technical support.

• Documentation:

  Writing and reviewing electrical drawings, compiling reports, and preparing specifications.

• Quality Assurance:

  Conducting quality assurance, inspecting equipment, and performing diagnostics.

• Safety and Compliance:

  Conducting safety inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and reporting safety breaches.

• Troubleshooting:

  Troubleshooting and resolving issues in electrical systems and components.

• Collaboration:

  Collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders.

• Training:

  Training new hires and providing on-the-job training for professional development.

• Communication:

  Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Technical Expertise:

• Electrical Engineering Fundamentals:

  Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, practices, and relevant standards (NEC, NFPA, etc.).

• Design and Analysis:

  Experience with electrical system design, including schematics, simulations, and analysis, often involving CAD software (AutoCAD, etc.).

• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

  Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, often in industrial settings or specific equipment (e.g., PLCs, power distribution units, etc.).

• Specific Equipment/Systems:

  May include experience with power systems (UPS, generators, switchgear), control systems (PLCs, etc.), or other relevant technologies.

• Leadership and Communication:

  Ability to manage electrical engineering projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and documentation.

• Experience and Education:
