Description
Role Overview: You will be responsible for working on basic and detailed design on Power Plants, particularly Combined Cycle Projects with Fuel Cells, BESS, and Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Systems. Your role will involve having a good understanding of Electrical Physical design, coordinating with other technical disciplines, and being familiar with Indian, US, Euro, and other foreign codes/standards and local practices. You will be developing designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures, and plant arrangements under supervision. Key Responsibilities: - Generate 2-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) plant layouts and drawings using MicroStation/Smart Sketch from detailed design 3-D CAD model with minimal guidance. - Proficient in S3D modeling for Equipment modeling, Raceway, Grounding, and lighting. - Independently prepare 3-D CAD design models under experienced designers' supervision and participate in client model reviews. - Prepare design calculations, bulk material quantity takeoffs, and material requisitions applicable to the discipline. - Review calculations, design models, drawings, and design documents prepared by others and assist in coordinating overall design with designers from other disciplines. - Foster a work environment based on openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. Qualification Required: - Minimum 10 years of experience with specialized courses in drafting, design, engineering practices, and CAD, or a recognized diploma. - Site experience will be an added advantage. - Sound knowledge of CAD design and drafting techniques using S3D, MicroStation, engineering drawing, graphic arts, and reading of drawings. - Familiarity with relevant design standards, engineering and construction materials, industry and regulatory standards, and codes related to the discipline. - Knowledge of electrical physical design related to equipment like Gas Turbines, HRSG, Cooling Towers, IPBD Layouts, Raceway, lighting, grounding design, and modeling, cable sizing. - General knowledge of technical responsibilities of other groups associated with the total design effort. - Experience in using Navisworks for model review, clash detection, and proficiency in SPR. - Ability to lead the technical work of less experienced designers and/or drafters who share in the design effort.
