We're seeking an engineer with strong electrical design expertise, a deep understanding of power distribution, control systems, and compliance with industry standards. This role will involve leading electrical design efforts, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring systems meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and telecommunications.
• Prepare electrical schematics, layouts, and system diagrams following industry standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including architects, civil, structural, and MEP engineers, as well as clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop electrical system designs, including Basis of Design (BOD), cable schedules, load estimations, calculations, and schematics/SLD.
• Design lighting, power, cable tray, earthing, and equipment layouts in compliance with international and local standards.
• Select and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, generators, capacitors, UPS, STS, ATS, and LV/MV switchgear.
• Review designs for errors, provide solutions, and address technical concerns.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and client requirements while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) with cost estimations.
• Participate in project meetings to provide technical expertise and address design-related queries.
• Maintain design documentation, including specifications, reports, and compliance records.
• Review and coordinate project designs with internal teams and external stakeholders to align with project goals.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

• Prior experience in electrical system design for data centers, commercial, financial, and banking sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Client-facing experience with strong communication skills.
• Experience with EHV, HV systems, and GIS substations.
• Ability to liaise with AHJ/CEIG/Local Power Authorities as per project requirements.
• Specialist certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, ATD) are an added advantage.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in design consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NBC, IS, IEEE, IEC).
• Proficiency in design software such as CAD and Dialux.
• Familiarity with Data Center standards (e.g., TIA, Uptime, ASHRAE TC 9.9, IEEE) is a plus.
• Proficiency in design software such as BIM, AMTECH, PSCAD, SKM, ETAP is a plus
