Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer is a key & active member of Engineering team, with the key responsibility to execute engineering tasks for creation of various types of electrical design including schematics, component selection, specification checking etc. Along with individual contribution, person will take active participation in building electrical engineering process in India. High quality output (first-time-right) and on-time delivery of tasks will be the main focus.

Main tasks & key responsibilities :

• Design the LV/MV/HV electrical equipment and develop reliable and cost-effective technical solutions for our customer.
• Create the technical documents (single line diagram, wiring diagram etc)
• Select proper components (cable dimensioning, power and control board design, field sensor selection)
• Create and implement part number and BOM in the Company ERP
• Support with solution for technical issues in the sub-system.
• Plan and support tasks and activities for upcoming work orders, customer deliveries, sustaining engineering task etc.
• Planning and maintaining delivery schedule, quality checks, design review of task
• Investigate Market for new technologies, initiating calls/visit at suppliers
• On-time delivery and high quality (first-time-right) of engineering deliverables
• Drive and execute sustaining engineering activities, such as update existing designs, components and subsystems to improve manufacturability, performance, quality and cost.
• Creating 3D models, assembly, and detailed production drawings, BOMs
• Participate in design reviews for continuous improvements!
• Training of (new) electrical engineers in your team on product, process and tools

• Should be able to coordinate with other global electrical engineers working on other sites
• Disciplined team worker, with ability to work independently
• International work experience will be a plus

Hard skills

LV/MV/HV

• Designing experience in Medium Voltage & Heavy voltage components is must, ideally experience in battery DC charging systems and components
• Extensive experience in one or more in the areas of Design for Reliability, Value Engineering from Design and Development aspect, Life Cycle
• Strong hands-on experience in

  Zuken E3

  and/or E-Plan software, minimum 5 yrs. experience desired. Hands on experience on SolidWorks electrical & EPDM is as advantage.
• Experience in Charging Control Systems and AutoCAD Electrical working experience will be a plus

Good understanding of Manufacturing Drawings and relevant Production Processes
