As a Data Scientist at Buckman, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of a Data Science program. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with Buckman stakeholders to gain deep industry knowledge in pulp and paper, water treatment, leather, and performance chemical industries. You will be instrumental in crafting a data strategy for the company, focusing on the collection of relevant data, creation of a data science project portfolio, collaboration with external providers, and potentially expanding the internal team. Your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts will be vital in driving proofs of concept projects that showcase the innovative use of data science to solve complex challenges. Working in a multi-disciplinary team environment, you will also contribute to the development and deployment of IoT solutions.
