We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior DevOps Engineer
to drive cloud platform engineering, deployment automation, and resiliency for a large-scale microservices modernization program on Azure. The role requires deep expertise in Kubernetes (AKS), Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, secure networking, and observability for distributed applications.Key responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize
AKS clusters
, Docker containers, ingress controllers, and Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd). - Implement and manage
API Gateways
(Azure API Management / NGINX Ingress) supporting secure routing, throttling, and traffic shaping. - Enable scalable, cost-optimized microservices infrastructure across environments.
- Build and maintain end-to-end
CI/CD pipelines
using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for microservices build, scan, test, and deployments. - Automate environment provisioning with
Terraform/Bicep/ARM
, enabling consistent, repeatable deployments. - Implement automated security checks, static/dynamic analysis, and deployment guardrails.
- Implement centralized logging and monitoring via
App Insights, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK
, and distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry). - Define SLOs and alerts for availability, latency, and operational health across the platform.
- Implement
blue/green, canary, feature flag
based rollouts for safe, controlled microservices migration. - Support progressive cutovers and rollback plans for each functional module.
- Configure secure Azure networking, including
VNETs, subnets, NSGs, firewalls, WAF
, and private endpoints. - Manage
TLS certificates
, ingress routing, traffic policies, and secure service-to-service communication. - Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and hardening guidelines.
- Right-size AKS clusters, node pools, autoscaling policies, and resource limits.
- Continuously optimize compute/storage/network costs while maintaining performance SLAs.
- Conduct capacity planning for peak workloads and long-term scaling.
Technical Skills
Skills requirements
6-8 years
of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering.- Strong hands-on experience with
Kubernetes (preferably AKS)
, Docker, ingress controllers, and service mesh. - Deep expertise in
Azure networking
, identity, security, and monitoring. - Proven experience building enterprise-grade
CI/CD pipelines
for microservices platforms. - Hands-on experience with
Terraform/Bicep/ARM
for infrastructure automation. - Experience with rollout strategiesblue/green, canary, weighted routing, A/B testing.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and SRE principles.
