Senior Devops Engineer (AWS)

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) with 7+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will play a key role in driving automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code practices while collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Proven ability to optimize AWS spend (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, S3 lifecycle policies, etc.).
• Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline software delivery and ensure smooth releases.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Amazon ECS/EKS.
• Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
• Drive automation to reduce manual processes and improve system reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, with strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, etc.).
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI etc.).
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of database management (RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, MSSQL).
• Experience in Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of networking, security groups, and load balancing.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in version control tools (Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (ELK stack, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
• Advanced Networking: VPC peering, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Global Accelerator.
• High Availability & Scalability: Auto Scaling strategies, distributed caching, multi-region failover.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer certification.
• Understanding of ISO Standards: Knowledge of relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, 27001 and 27701) and their application in the workplace.
