Senior Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the development team, including software engineers, QA testers, and DevOps.

Allocate tasks, set priorities, and ensure timely project delivery.

Conduct performance reviews, mentorship, and team skill development.

Oversee the design, development, and deployment of SMS and Voice Firewall solutions and RCS platform.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the platforms.

Work closely with product managers to align development with business goals.

Guide the team in writing efficient, optimized, and maintainable code.

Ensure compliance with telecom security regulations like GSMA, GDPR etc.

Implement security measures to protect against fraud, spam, and cyber threats.

Keep up with the latest network security and firewall technologies.

Optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root cause analysis.

Oversee the development of APIs for SMS routing, firewall rules, and security policies.

AI/ML-based spam filtering, anomaly detection, and fraud prevention.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of SMS and Voice Firewall, and RCS protocols (e.g., SMPP, SS7, SIP, Diameter, RCS Universal Profile).

Good understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network systems.

Experience in software engineering for Telecom, Automotive, DevOps.

Development experience in C, C++, Python, PHP, Java Script, Application Design, Development, Data Structures, Algorithms.

Experience in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Jira, Git, Puppet, Docker, Gradle, Groovy, etc.

Experience in AWS and Azure Cloud Migrations of Developed Applications.

Experience in Security Assessment and Fixes of Vulnerabilities in Applications.

Hands on experience in Multithreading, Socket Programming and Application Programming Interface (API) Development.

Experience in UNIX, Linux, SQL, PLSQL and Expertise in a wide variety of Unix Based Operating Systems Platforms and Databases.

Strong API integration skills (RESTful, SOAP) to ensure smooth system connectivity.

Experience in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and scikit-learn for ML capabilities.

Analytical & Communication Skills:

Proficient in managing the entire software development operations involving requirement gathering, development of functional specifications, design & development and co-ordination with customer, Sprint Planning, Retro, Handling and mentoring teams, etc.

Ability to analyse complex data and make informed product decisions.

Strong leadership skills, with experience managing development and cross-functional teams and ensuring smooth collaboration.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Familiarity with AI/ML analytics for product improvement.

Understanding of telecom industry regulations like GSMA, GDPR etc.
