Senior Developer / Technical lead - Java

As a member of our dynamic team at SAP, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and delivering solutions that help the world run better. Your primary responsibility will be to understand the current and target technical strategies and product roadmaps, ensuring that the solutions you develop are in line with them. You will collaborate with Architects to design solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements, with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, testability, and maintainability. In addition, you will lead and own various topics within the team, coaching team members to enhance their proficiency in development and quality processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in continuously improving designs and implementations, contributing significantly to the technical roadmap. A DevOps mindset is essential, as you will take ownership of features from development through to deployment in production, driving innovation and a continuous improvement mindset within the team. To excel in this role, you should hold a BE/B.Tech/M.Tech degree from premier universities with a solid academic background. With 8-12 years of relevant experience, you should have a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms. Your analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with an innovative mindset, will be key to your success in designing and developing large-scale distributed and highly concurrent applications using Java/JEE and related technologies. Expertise in database programming, particularly Oracle, is mandatory, including knowledge of complex SQL, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and more. Proficiency in Spring 3.0+, REST, OData, Kafka, ORM frameworks, and iBatis is preferred, along with experience in Unit Testing and TDD/BDD methodologies. Your familiarity with OOAD, Design Patterns, anti-patterns, SaaS, multi-tenancy, Splunk, public cloud offerings, Microservices, Domain Driven Design, DevOps, and Agile Methodologies will be beneficial in this role. Furthermore, a thorough understanding of security principles like OWASP and the HTTP protocol is required.
