Senior Developer - Backend

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to enhance our API and integrate with our existing system. This role involves working with our API infrastructure and implementing security frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Lead the enhancement and modification of our existing API to integrate with existing and new services Design and implement secure, scalable backend services and APIs Architect and optimize database interactions and data flows Implement authentication and authorization frameworks (Keycloak, OpenFGA) Develop integration points between our portal and API Establish coding standards and best practices for the backend team Perform code reviews and mentor mid-level and junior developers Troubleshoot complex system integration issues Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless data exchange Document APIs and technical architecture Required Skills: 5+ years of backend development experience Strong proficiency in JavaScript for API development Experience with Python backend frameworks Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems Experience with database design and SQL (particularly MySQL) API design and development expertise Preferred Skills: Experience with Java applications or applets Knowledge of keycloak and OpenFGA Experience with AWS/EC2 environments Understanding of containerization technologies Security implementation experience Experience with MySQL is considered an asset
