We're seeking a Senior Designer (Technical) with extensive experience in preparing precise technical drawings for bespoke furniture and millwork. This role is critical to ensuring that every design is factory-ready, manufactural, and aligned with project requirements. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of expertise in 2D AutoCAD drafting, joinery detailing, and furniture production.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and review detailed technical drawings for furniture, wardrobes, wall panelling, and millwork.
• Ensure drawings meet manufacturing standards and are production-ready.
• Collaborate closely with the factory team to resolve technical challenges.
• Develop detailed joinery details, sections, and elevations for accurate execution.
• Conduct site measurements and incorporate details into working drawings.
• Maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality in all technical outputs.
• Mentor junior drafters/designers in technical drawing standards and best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical detailing for furniture and millwork.
• Expertise in 2D AutoCAD with strong drafting and detailing skills.
• In-depth knowledge of furniture construction, joinery methods, and production processes.
• Hands-on experience in furniture factory environments is mandatory.
• Ability to translate design concepts into highly detailed, error-free working drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and technical coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of other drafting/design software will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills for coordination with design and production teams.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design; Architecture or business-related degrees are a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite.
