Senior Designer

Role & responsibilities

1 Design & Product Development

• Create seasonal collections covering

  tops, dresses, bottoms, outerwear, lounge & casual wear

  in woven & knit categories.
• Develop

  concepts, color palettes, story boards, trims, and silhouettes

  based on trend research and consumer insights.
• Ensure

  commercial & brand-right products

  with strong fashion aesthetics.
• Work closely with sampling and pattern teams for

  first proto to final selection

  .

2 Market & Trend Research

• Analyze

  global fashion forecasts (WGSN, Vogue, runway shows, trade fairs)

  .
• Conduct market visits for competitor analysis and pricing benchmarks.
  
• Identify

  new materials, washes, surface techniques

  relevant to category.

3 Coordination & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Liaise with

  merchandising, sampling, production, sourcing, and quality

  to deliver approved samples on time.
• Ensure alignment with

  costing targets, production feasibility, and delivery deadlines

  .
• Manage

  client presentations

  , approvals, and communications for export markets.

4 Vendor & Fabric/Trim Development

• Work with

  mills and suppliers

  for fabric/trim development considering

  lead time & MOQ constraints

  .
• Develop wash standards & approvals for product categories where required.
  

5 Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor team of

  designers, CAD/graphics, and interns

  .
• Allocate category responsibilities and ensure timely design outputs.
  
• Drive performance, creativity, and skill upgrading within the team.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong creative & commercial product sense
  
• Proficiency in

  Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, CLO 3D

  (preferred)
• Good understanding of

  fits, draping, pattern making, garment construction

• Knowledge of

  fabric behavior, knits & woven both.
