Job Description

Lead the design and development of bulk material handling systems including belt conveyors, apron feeders, crushers, bucket elevators, rotary dryers, and pneumatic handling systems.

Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and 3D CAD models using tools such as Smart plant 3D, Microstation, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, and Tekla.
Conduct system design calculations, equipment sizing, and load/capacity analysis in compliance with IS and CEMA codes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including RD, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure alignment of engineering solutions with operational goals.
Review vendor specifications, technical bids, and manufacturing drawings to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
Support project execution from concept through commissioning, including documentation, bill of materials (BOM), and technical specifications.
Participate in value engineering and design optimization initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and performance.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the mechanical design team.
Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline.
Knowledge of procedures used for the procurement and quantity control of bulk materials applicable to the discipline.
