As an experienced Data Science Specialist joining the AI delivery team, your role will involve serving as a technical thought leader, driving innovation in AI initiatives, and mentoring teams. You will be responsible for architecting sophisticated machine learning solutions, establishing best practices, and providing technical direction shaping the overall AI strategy. Your key responsibilities will include: - Architecting and leading the development of complex machine learning solutions for high-impact business challenges, ensuring scalability and maintainability - Driving technical decision-making for multiple AI initiatives, selecting appropriate methodologies and frameworks - Establishing technical standards and best practices for the data science practice, including model development and deployment strategies - Acting as the principal technical advisor to senior leadership on AI capabilities and opportunities - Leading proof-of-concept initiatives for emerging AI technologies and assessing their impact on business objectives - Designing and implementing novel machine learning approaches for complex business problems - Providing technical oversight for critical AI projects, ensuring quality and scalability - Mentoring and guiding senior data scientists to enhance their technical expertise - Collaborating with enterprise architecture teams to align AI solutions with technical strategies - Leading technical reviews and providing architectural guidance for complex AI solutions - Driving research initiatives to explore cutting-edge AI techniques and their applications - Developing frameworks for evaluating and mitigating AI risks, including bias and ethical considerations Qualifications required for this role include: - PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field - 10+ years of hands-on experience in applied data science and machine learning - Expertise in designing and implementing novel machine learning approaches - Deep understanding of modern AI/ML architectures and distributed computing - Strong background in mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and algorithmic complexity - Proven ability to lead technical strategy and drive innovation in data science practices - Experience with end-to-end ML solutions, multiple programming languages, and deep learning frameworks - Comprehensive understanding of MLOps practices, AI ethics, and cloud-native architectures In addition to technical expertise, this role requires strategic thinking and leadership abilities to drive innovation and excellence in AI initiatives.
