Senior Data Researcher

• Role: Senior Data Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Researcher/Administrator to lead our data research operations, ensure high data accuracy, and drive data quality initiatives across teams. This role requires a strong background in data validation, data cleansing, and advanced Excel techniques, along with experience in managing and mentoring a team of data professionals.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Research & Analysis

• Conduct in-depth research using public and proprietary sources to collect relevant data aligned with business goals.
• Interpret complex data sets and transform them into actionable insights.
• Ensure data collected is accurate, timely, and complete.

2. Data Validation & Quality Assurance

• Implement and oversee robust data validation processes to ensure integrity and reliability.
• Monitor data discrepancies and design solutions to resolve inconsistencies.

3. Data Cleansing & Standardization

• Identify and correct inaccuracies, duplicate records, and outdated entries in large datasets.
• Establish data cleansing standards and automation where applicable

4. Excel Expertise

• Use Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, Macros, VBA, Advanced Formulas) to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
• Develop dashboards and automated reporting tools to support business decisions.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a team of junior data researchers and analysts.
• Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Sales, IT) to support broader data needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Management, or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in data research, validation, and cleansing.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Excel (Advanced level), including automation and data visualization
• Experience managing a team and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

• Experience with CRM or ERP systems is a plus.
