Senior Data Management Professional - Data Engineering

Role Overview: As a Senior Data Management Professional in the Company Financials Markets team at Bloomberg, you will play a crucial role in leveraging your subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop data-driven strategies and workflows around exchanges and 3rd party data providers. Your responsibilities will include crafting solutions in collaboration with engineering and product departments, managing reliable and efficient workflows, analyzing critical observability checkpoints, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Develop data-driven strategies by combining Technical, Product, Financial, and Market knowledge - Own reliable and efficient workflows around exchanges and 3rd party data providers using programming, machine learning, and/or human-in-the-loop approaches - Analyze workflows to ensure delivery of fit-for-purpose data on a market basis and design scalable solutions for monitoring and alerting - Identify opportunities for improvement by leveraging technical knowledge of Bloomberg's proprietary or open-source stacks - Communicate and collaborate with team members, Engineering, Product, and Bloomberg Intelligence - Develop interconnected data models for analysis across datasets and statistical analysis Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree or above in Statistics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, or related field - Minimum 4+ years of experience in financial/fintech services industry or data engineering role - Proficiency in Python and experience with high volume, low-latency ETL pipelines - Familiarity with various databases, structured and unstructured formats - Strong project management skills and customer-focused mentality - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Continuous career growth within an organization Additional Company Details: The Company Financials team at Bloomberg is dedicated to providing clients with fast and accurate market-moving data to help them stay ahead in their game.
