Senior Data Engineer

You are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in AWS, Databricks, and BI visualization tools to design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and real-time/batch data processing, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data management and analytics capabilities. Your key responsibilities will include data engineering and pipeline development, collaborating with various teams for agile delivery, and following cloud and DevOps practices. You will be responsible for performing source-to-target data analysis, designing and optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring data quality and governance. Additionally, you will work with AWS data lake solutions and BI tools like Power BI for analytical reporting. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with admins, developers, data engineers, and analysts to ensure successful data functionality delivery. Engaging with project managers and scrum masters to analyze requirements, drive sprint planning, and support product backlog management will also be part of your responsibilities. Identifying and mitigating risks related to data engineering processes is crucial. In terms of required skills and experience, you should have at least 6 years of experience in data engineering and cloud-based solutions. You must possess proven expertise in AWS Data Services, hands-on experience with PySpark on Databricks, and experience in building BI solutions using tools like Power BI. Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data architecture best practices is necessary. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps, and DataOps principles is also required.
