Job Description

Role Overview:

Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain
ETL/ELT pipelines
using
Dataiku
for large-scale data processing.
Integrate data from various sources (clinical, commercial, manufacturing, R&D systems) into unified data models.
Write and optimize
complex SQL queries
for data transformation, validation, and analytics use cases.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and domain experts to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with
GxP and Pharma regulatory standards
.
Automate workflows, monitor data jobs, and implement best practices for version control and data governance.
Work closely with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for data storage and processing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

4 - 8 years of experience in
Data Engineering
or
Data Platform Development
.
Strong proficiency in
SQL
and
Dataiku (DSS)
including recipe creation, dataset management, and workflow orchestration.
Experience with
Python
or
Spark
for data transformations is an added advantage.
Good understanding of
data modeling
,
data warehousing
, and
ETL best practices
.
Familiarity with
Pharma domain datasets
(Clinical Trials, R&D, Sales, or Supply Chain).
Working knowledge of
data governance
,
metadata management
, and
data quality frameworks
.
Exposure to
cloud ecosystems
(AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, BigQuery, etc.) preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
