Job Description

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement data pipelines using
PySpar
k on Databricks
Automate deployment, job orchestration, and cluster management using
DB
X
Optimise Spark jobs for performance and cost efficiency (partitioning, caching, broadcast joins)
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
Integrate Databricks with cloud storage systems (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, or GCP equivalents)
Ensure compliance with standards on data governance, security, and monitoring
Support CI/CD processes for data engineering workflows

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with PySpa
rk (DataFrame API, advanced transformations, performance optimisation)
Proficiency with DBX (Databricks CLI/DevOp
s) for deployment and automation
Solid understanding o
f distributed data processi
ng and Spark internal

QL for querying and optimising data operations
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience.
4+ Years of experience in data engineering or big data roles
Prior experience
in enterprise-scale Databricks implementat
ions preferred.
