Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineering & Power BI Consultant to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, Power BI, and modern data engineering practices, along with the ability to translate complex data into business-ready insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust data pipelines using Databricks (Delta Lake, PySpark, SQL).
• Manage and govern data assets through

  Unity Catalog

  (UC) defining lineage, access control, and data classification.
• Integrate data from multiple sources (Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases) into the Delta architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
• Develop and optimize

  Power BI

  models, dashboards, and reports for business users.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace governance for secure Power BI environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, data models, and reporting frameworks.
• Troubleshoot data quality, lineage, and performance issues across the data pipeline.
• Support data validation and migration to Unity Catalog and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Partner with analytics and business teams to build scalable, self-service reporting environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5–7 years

  of hands-on experience in

  Data Engineering and Power BI development

  .
• Strong expertise in

  Databricks

  (PySpark, Delta Lake, SQL) and

  Unity Catalog

  (governance, security, lineage).
• Experience building and orchestrating pipelines using

  Azure Data Factory / Synapse

  .
• Advanced knowledge of

  Power BI data modeling, DAX, performance tuning

  , and

  service administration

  .
• Familiarity with

  data lakehouse architectures

  and medallion (Bronze–Silver–Gold) frameworks.
• Proficiency in

  Azure cloud services

  , CI/CD integration, and data monitoring frameworks.
• Strong understanding of

  data governance, lineage, and metadata management

  .
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to

  Databricks SQL Warehousing

  and

  Delta Sharing

  .
• Experience with

  Power BI REST APIs

• Working knowledge of
