Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
• Build and operate data platforms using modern cloud and big data technologies
• Act as an individual contributor (~60%), delivering high-quality, production-ready code
• Coach and mentor data engineers on best practices and engineering standards
• Perform code reviews, design reviews, and ensure testing and deployment quality
• Monitor and optimize data infrastructure performance and reliability
• Resolve complex technical challenges and manage technical debt
• Ensure DevSecOps practices are embedded into daily engineering work
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Scrum Masters to meet sprint goals
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and delivery efficiency
• Participate in technical and architectural discussions across teams

Required Technical Skills

Must Have:

• Strong proficiency in

  Python

  and

  SQL

• Experience with

  big data technologies

  , including MPP and streaming systems
• Hands-on experience with

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with data platforms such as

  Databricks, BigQuery, or Snowflake

• Experience with

  CI/CD tools

  (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git)
• Familiarity with

  APIs

  for data ingestion and extraction
• Ability to translate high-level architecture designs into development tasks

Qualifications & Experience

• 5 - 11 years of experience in

  Data Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with data integration, ETL, and data warehousing
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and modern architectures
• Experience delivering end-to-end data engineering or DataOps projects
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards
• Proven ability to mentor and guide engineers with varying experience levels
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently with a proactive and pragmatic mindset
