You will be joining the Digital Finance function within Novartis as a Senior Manager, Data Analytics. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and analyze large volumes of data to extract valuable insights. You should possess exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work with various technologies and programming languages to interpret complex datasets. Building strong relationships with global stakeholders and effectively communicating business analyst needs to data engineers or software engineers will also be crucial in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Data Analysis:** Utilize statistical techniques and data mining methods to analyze large datasets, identify trends, patterns, and correlations to address critical business questions. - **Data Validation, Cleaning and Preprocessing:** Clean, validate, and organize data to ensure accuracy and consistency, resolve data quality issues, and maintain data integrity. - **Data Visualization:** Present findings through clear visualizations to help users understand and interpret the data effectively. - **Ad-hoc Data Analysis:** Perform on-demand data analysis to provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders and support decision-making processes. - **Collaboration:** Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide data-driven solutions for optimal outcomes. - **Storytelling:** Generate insights from data and communicate them to key stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, to explain implications on processes or products. - **Documentation:** Develop and maintain documentation related to data analysis processes and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing. - **Continuous Improvement:** Stay updated with the latest trends in data analytics, explore and implement new tools and technologies to enhance data analysis processes. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets, knowledge of statistical techniques, and data mining algorithms. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, strong SQL skills, and willingness to learn other analytics tools. - Experience with BI tools like PowerBI or Qlik, ETL tools like Dataiku/Alteryx, and effective communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
