Senior Consultant, Teamcenter

As an experienced IT Senior Consultant, API for PLM Services at Danfoss, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing APIs to ensure the success of the OnePLM journey. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - API Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain APIs following best practices and industry standards to ensure scalability, performance, and ease of use. - Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with external systems, third-party services, and platforms for data exchange and enhanced functionality. - Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, architects, and frontend developers to define API requirements and deliver effective solutions aligned with project goals. - Documentation: Create comprehensive API documentation, including technical specifications, usage guides, and sample code to facilitate integration by other developers. - Stay Updated: Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and best practices in API development, software engineering, and related technologies. - Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of APIs, debug, and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable, bug-free code delivery. - Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in API architecture, database queries, and network communications for optimal speed and efficiency. - Security and Authentication: Implement security measures, including authentication and authorization protocols, to protect APIs and ensure data privacy and integrity. - Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor API performance, address issues proactively, and perform regular maintenance tasks, including version upgrades and bug fixes. Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as an API Developer or similar role, focusing on API development and integration. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in backend programming languages like C#, JavaScript/Typescript, Python, knowledge of API frameworks and technologies (REST, Express.JS, ASP.NET), familiarity with frontend technologies, experience with modern frontend frameworks, expertise in tools for API design (Swagger, Stoplight, Postman), acquaintance with Apigee deployments, Odata management, Zalando API guideline, Teamcenter, T4EA / AIG will be advantageous. - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to debug complex issues and provide effective solutions. - Collaboration: Good communication skills for working collaboratively in a team environment. - Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities. - Attention to Detail: Commitment to delivering high-quality code and solutions with strong attention to detail. - Continuous Learning: Passion for learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends.
