We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. In this role, you will: Support the Product Owner in managing the workstream backlog, including prioritizing stories and subtasks. Groom backlog stories to ensure they meet the definition of ready . Contribute to the project RAAID log by raising relevant items as needed. Provide regular updates to the Engagement Lead and Project Management on progress against delivery milestones. Manage multiple environments effectively to support project needs. Communicate with project teams to resolve technical and application issues related to project delivery. Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure appropriate environment monitoring. Ensure SLA commitments are met and escalate issues as required. Oversee deployment activities to create and maintain development, test, UAT, and production environments during project deployment phases. Establish, document, and implement best practices for end-to-end application initiation and deployment processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability according to project requirements. Attend and actively participate in relevant project meetings. Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of environments. Collaborate with development and QA teams to optimize deployment processes. Manage cloud infrastructure (GCP) and container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes). Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant controls. Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and deployments. Requirements To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements: 6 12 years of relevant experience in DevOps and related technologies. Proven experience working in agile and DevOps environments, utilizing collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA. Strong background in Unix and SQL administration. Proficient in Terraform and scripting (Shell or Python). Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including GIT, Jenkins, Ansible/Puppet, and Kubernetes. Demonstrated expertise in Google Cloud implementation. Understanding of Big Data concepts, DevOps principles, and container technologies. Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc. ). Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc. ). Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code. Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK, etc. ). Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple issues, prioritize effectively, and drive results across partner organizations. Strong planning and time management abilities; committed to delivering responsibilities efficiently. Effective team player, able to work cross-functionally and liaise with specialists from other domains. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with global teams and diverse cultural backgrounds. Create short-term plans to deliver environments supporting sprint-based development. Coordinate technical specialists to automate environment setup and configuration. Monitor and ensure uptime of test environments, providing ongoing support. Communicate environment availability to project management and QA teams. Develop KPIs to track the effectiveness of environment delivery. Drive automation of environment activities and provide estimates for onboarding new projects. Design systems to support continuous delivery and adapt environment management for on-demand, self-service automation. Forecast environment requirements based on anticipated demand from multiple development teams. Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring resolution with minimal supervision. Demonstrate strong relationship management and flexible interpersonal skills. Good to have: Disciplined Agile and SAFE framework experience Experienced in working with resources in geographically dispersed teams, appreciating and respecting local cultures Front Office IT experience An appreciation and experience of working on projects that are driven by Regulatory Mandate, and be able to articulate the challenges that such projects often encounter, and the ways in which they ve been able to achieve success in such area
