Role Overview: As a Senior Consultant in Data Science at Rockwell Automation, you will play a crucial role in leading strategic data initiatives, driving advanced analytics solutions, and mentoring junior data professionals. You will leverage your 8 or more years of experience and specialization in applying data science techniques to solve real-world business problems in industries such as healthcare, retail, manufacturing, or technology. Based in Balewadi, Pune, you will report to the Manager, Software Engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Client Engagement & Delivery - Understand client business challenges and propose end-to-end AI/ML/data science solutions. - Lead client-facing engagements, presenting analytical findings and business recommendations. - Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and measurable outcomes. - Technical Leadership - Architect and develop predictive models, optimization algorithms, and statistical analyses. - Oversee data preparation, feature engineering, model selection, validation, and deployment. - Utilize tools like Python, R, SQL, Spark, or cloud ML services (AWS/GCP/Azure). - Strategy & Innovation - Contribute to the development of analytics strategy and roadmap for enterprise clients. - Identify and drive opportunities for AI/ML adoption across business functions. - Stay updated with emerging technologies and techniques in AI, ML, and data platforms. - Drive projects on cutting-edge DS technologies such as Computer Vision, Generative AI, Agentic AI, etc. - Contribute to business development initiatives such as RFP, PoC, workshops, etc. - Team Development - Mentor and guide data scientists and analysts on best practices and solution delivery. - Conduct code reviews, share technical knowledge, and lead internal capability-building initiatives. - Project & Stakeholder Management - Manage deliverables and quality for complex analytics projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, engineering, IT, and domain expertise. - Present insights and recommendations to clients. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields. - 5+ years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or AI roles. - Strong foundation in statistics, ML algorithms, NLP, deep learning, or operations research. - Hands-on expertise with Python (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy), R, SQL, and data visualization tools. - Experience working with big data frameworks like Spark, Hadoop, or cloud-native tools. - Proficiency in deploying models into production environments (MLOps is an added advantage). - Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting skills. - Experience in solving complex business problems with data.
