As a Senior Consultant in the Advisory Services Financial Services Office, specifically in Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) focusing on Credit Risk, you will be a part of EY's Financial Services Office (FSO), a specialized business unit offering a wide range of integrated services that combine in-depth industry knowledge with strong functional expertise. The FSO practice delivers comprehensive advisory services to financial institutions and capital markets participants, including commercial banks, investment banks, asset managers, insurance companies, and energy trading firms, among others. In the FSO Advisory Practice, the Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) group works with clients to identify, measure, manage, and monitor market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks associated with their capital markets activities, including trading and asset-liability management. The Credit Risk (CR) team within FSRM helps clients implement strategic and regulatory changes in risk management within their banking book portfolio, catering to both domestic and global financial institutions. As a Senior Consultant, your key responsibilities will include showcasing deep technical expertise and industry knowledge in financial products, particularly lending products. You will stay updated on market trends and client challenges in the financial services sector, monitor progress, manage risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Mentoring junior consultants, reviewing and analyzing tasks completed by junior staff, and working on projects related to model audits, validation, and development will be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you must possess a postgraduate degree (masters in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or related field) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. A thorough understanding of credit risk model development, validation, and implementation for banking book portfolios is essential. Knowledge of Credit Risk and Risk Analytics techniques, experience in data manipulation, regulatory requirements such as IFRS 9, CCAR, and expertise in Stress Testing/DFAST of PD/LGD/EAD models are desirable skills. In addition, proficiency in tools like Advanced Python, SAS, SQL, R, and Excel, along with certifications like FRM, CFA, PRM, SCR, RAI, would be advantageous.
