Senior Cloud Support Engineer - SQL

Role Overview: As a Senior Cloud Support Engineer at Snowflake, your role will involve delivering high-quality resolutions to customers, ensuring data-driven business insights and results. You will provide technical guidance, expert advice, and feedback on product improvements to customers utilizing Snowflake Data Warehouse. Additionally, you will play a key role in building knowledge within the team and contributing to strategic initiatives for organizational and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Drive technical solutions to complex problems for Snowflake customers and partners via email, web, and phone communication - Adhere to response and resolution SLAs, escalate issues as needed, and ensure fast resolution of customer issues - Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and process orientation - Utilize Snowflake environment, connectors, 3rd party partner software, and tools to investigate issues - Document known solutions to internal and external knowledge bases, report bugs, and submit feature requests - Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize and resolve customer requests - Participate in Support initiatives and provide coverage during holidays and weekends Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline - 5+ years of experience in a Technical Support environment or similar customer-facing role - Solid knowledge of at least one major RDBMS - In-depth understanding of SQL data types, aggregations, and advanced functions - Proficiency in query performance tuning, query lifecycle, profiles, execution plans, and interpreting systems performance metrics - Experience with database patch and release management, JSON, XML, and other semi-structured data formats - Ability to work in a 24x7 environment, handle technical escalations, incident management, and participate in pager duty rotations during nights, weekends, and holidays,
