Senior Cloud Security Engineer

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

Cloud Security Architecture & Engineering:

• Design and implement robust security architectures for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Evaluate and integrate cloud-native security services and third-party tools.

Security Operations & Incident Response:

• Monitor cloud environments for security events, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations.
• Lead incident response and forensic investigations related to cloud security incidents.
• Collaborate with SOC and IT teams to remediate threats and vulnerabilities.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Support compliance initiatives (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001, RBI, GDPR) in cloud environments.
• Conduct risk assessments and security reviews of cloud services and applications.

Automation & DevSecOps:

• Develop automation scripts and CI/CD pipeline integrations to enforce security controls.
• Champion the integration of security into DevOps processes (DevSecOps).

Collaboration & Training:

• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to embed security early in the development lifecycle.
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams on cloud security best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5-6 years of hands-on experience in cloud security engineering, including securing AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, network security, and monitoring.
• Experience with cloud security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, Prisma Cloud, Wiz, GuardDuty).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and security tooling.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and related security (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to cloud environments.
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CCSP, CISSP).
