Senior Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

SQL Server (On-Prem and Azure):

Install, configure, andmaintain SQL Server instances (2016 and above).

Set up and manage AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, and Replication.

Perform routinemaintenance, patching, backup/restore, and security configuration.

Monitor performance andtune queries, indexes, and server configurations.

Configure andtroubleshoot Azure SQL Databases and Managed Instances.

Implement highavailability and disaster recovery solutions.

Azure Database Services:

Administer Azure SQL,Azure PostgreSQL, and Azure MySQL.

Setup Azure Cosmos DBfor transactional or NoSQL workloads.

Design and implementdatabase security, role-based access, and firewall rules in Azure.

Monitor resources usingAzure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Query Insights.

MySQL & PostgreSQL:

Install, configure, andmaintain MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.

Perform performancetuning, replication setup, and backup strategies.

Apply schema changes,manage user roles, and resolve database-level issues.

Other Responsibilities:

Document databasearchitecture, policies, and procedures.

Collaborate withdevelopers and DevOps for CI/CD of database code.

Ensure databasecompliance with security and audit requirements.

Required Skills:

Strong expertise in SQLServer Administration (on-prem & Azure).

Hands-on experience withAlways On, AG Listener, Load Balancer config, and clustering.

Good understanding of AzureDatabase Services (PaaS, IaaS).
