Senior Cloud Architect

You are a technical visionary with a passion for designing and building robust, secure, and scalable IT systems. As a member of the Business Systems team at Trimble, you will be instrumental in delivering Trimble's digital transformation mission by modernizing systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Partnering with stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements, processes, and desired outcomes - Analyzing current systems and identifying areas for improvement - Translating business needs into robust and scalable system architecture across multiple current and next-gen systems hosted in the cloud - Creating technical architecture and component designs based on a strong understanding of AWS & Azure platform services, application development frameworks, and security best practices - Overseeing the development process, ensuring solutions are built according to design - Collaborating effectively with various stakeholders and communicating complex cloud concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentations, including system and technical architecture, best practices, proposals, and narratives You should bring the following skills & experience to the role: - Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Experience: Proven experience as a Systems Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role (3+ years), preceded by a Technical architect role (5+ years) - Technical Skills: Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Serverless technologies (lambda, azure functions), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), SRE/DevOps practices, and tech stack (Preferably C#, Java & Python, GraphQL, CQRS) - Certifications: Certifications in relevant technologies (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert etc.) are highly desirable - Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills - Leadership: Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring development teams About Business Systems Group: The Business Systems group's vision is to deliver modernized and innovative system solutions and processes that drive business productivity, provide exceptional customer/user experience, support revenue growth, and help manage accounting/compliance risk for Trimble.
