About the Role

Senior Cloud Architect

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Strategy & Architecture

• Define and evolve enterprise-level

  multi-cloud architecture frameworks

  , standards, and best practices.
• Design highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions using

  AWS & GCP

  or

  Azure & GCP

  services.
• Lead cloud modernization initiatives including

  application re-architecture

  ,

  containerization

  , and

  migration to cloud-native platforms

  .
• Evaluate emerging cloud services and technologies to ensure alignment with business goals.
  

Technical Leadership

• Provide architectural guidance to engineering, DevOps, data, and security teams.
• Review and approve high-level and detailed solution designs across multiple projects.
• Mentor cloud engineers and architects, fostering a strong engineering culture.
• Drive architectural governance and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
  

Cloud Engineering & Implementation

• Design and implement cloud landing zones, VPCs/VNets, IAM, network architectures, and hybrid connectivity.
• Architect and optimize

  Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS)

  clusters and orchestrated workloads.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation / Bicep), and automation frameworks.
• Ensure high availability, performance tuning, scalability, and cost optimization across cloud platforms.
  

Security, Risk & Compliance

• Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, identity federation, policies, encryption, and network segmentation.
• Partner with security teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
• Conduct architecture risk assessments and cloud environment audits.
  

Stakeholder & Project Leadership

• Work closely with product owners, business leaders, and technical teams to translate requirements into cloud-based solutions.
• Lead technical design workshops, architecture reviews, and technology evaluations.
• Produce clear documentation including architecture diagrams, design patterns, and operational guidelines.
  

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years

  of progressive experience in IT, including

  8+ years in cloud architecture

  .
• Strong hands-on expertise in

  multi-cloud environments

Azure & GCP

• Deep knowledge of cloud-native services: Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Serverless, Managed Databases, Observability, etc.
• Expertise in

  Terraform

  ,

  Kubernetes

  , CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud, on-prem integration, and network architectures (VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Interconnect).
• Solid experience with security best practices and cloud compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead large cross-functional engineering teams and manage multiple parallel initiatives.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Experience with service mesh, event-driven architectures, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Background in FinTech, Telecom, Retail, Healthcare, or other large-scale enterprise domains.
• Experience with FinOps, cost governance, and multi-cloud optimization tools.
