Senior Azure Infrastructure Enginee

Key Responsibilities

• Respond and manage critical Azure incidents and support requests, ensuring rapid triage, escalation, and resolution.
• Work closely with Microsoft Azure support to resolve high-severity cases (P1/P2), providing detailed technical context and coordinating internal follow-ups.
• Deep Troubleshooting knowledge on Azure platform. Understand the issue and collect appropriate logs to troubleshoot and provide resolution as early as possible.
• Architect, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure components including VMs, networking, storage, identity, and monitoring.
• Maintain and improve environment reliability through automation, scripting, monitoring, and operational best practices.
• Ensure the Azure environment is secure, cost-optimized, and aligned with governance and compliance policies.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and runbooks for support scenarios and infrastructure changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployments, troubleshoot system issues, and drive infrastructure improvements.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and contribute to cloud strategy planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 810 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure

  infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to handle critical Azure platform issues and interact effectively with Microsoft support/Premium support teams.
• Deep expertise in key Azure services, including:

Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Network, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Azure Firewall, NSGs.

Azure Active Directory, Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Identity Management.

Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Backup/Recovery services.

• Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM/Bicep/Terraform.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, high availability, and disaster recovery in cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure, production-critical environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and escalate issues.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft certifications such as

  AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500

  , or similar are strongly preferred.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and working in IT service management frameworks.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
