Senior C++ Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior C++ Engineer with over 5 years of experience to join our team at Naico ITS in SmartCity, Kochi. As a Senior C++ Engineer, you will be responsible for working on complex software migration projects involving legacy codebases. Your expertise in C++ programming, particularly in unmanaged code, will be essential for this role. One of the key requirements for this position is proficiency in image processing and visualization, with a focus on medical imaging (DICOM). You should have strong debugging, performance optimization, and memory management skills to ensure the smooth transition of software projects. Additionally, the ability to analyze and refactor tightly coupled codebases for improved maintainability and performance is crucial. Specifically, we are seeking candidates with experience in VTK (Visualization Toolkit) and migrating from VTK 5.x to 9.x. Knowledge of VTK rendering pipeline, OpenGL2, and shader-based rendering is desirable. Understanding VTK Edge components and their custom reimplementation in VTK 9.x will be an advantage in this role. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and planning the migration from VTK 5.x to VTK 9.x, identifying and replacing VTK Edge dependencies with custom implementations, and upgrading the rendering pipeline to OpenGL2 for enhanced compatibility and performance improvements.
