Senior Business System Analyst

The employee will be responsible for managing information system design projects throughout the development life cycle from initial analysis and design all the way through to the implementation and user acceptance. The ideal candidate for this role will document the requirements and serve as a liaison between the client, project manager, and other technical and functional teams. This candidate should be able to work across different modules of different Product lines in Optums Health Insurance Exchanges (HIX) Product Suite. Also, candidate should be an independent operator and a quick learner to ramp up quickly.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the product team on defining the product requirements
• Writing PRD's and functional specifications for the Product features
• Providing walk throughs of the Product Feature/Documentation to internal business and engineering teams
• Obtaining feedback from clients, designers and developers and adjusting product specifications as needed
• Defect analysis, User Acceptance Testing (PO review)
• Validate requirements and assure compliance of the development outcomes with a customer’s business goals
• Coordinating with client teams & offshore teams
• Identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve user experience
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience breaking down requirements into feature level requirements and User Stories in an Agile environment
• Background in Healthcare Industry
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a matrix environment
• Demonstrated solid presentation skills with supporting tools such as Power Point, Excel etc.
• Demonstrated solid analytical and reasoning skills
• Proven excellent/demonstrated verbal and written communication skills are an absolute requirement
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and handling multiple projects
• Proven flexible time, to work to overlap with US time, as the key stakeholder to work with are in US time-zone (3.30pm - 12.30am IST)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Product Management, Product development or Consulting experience (consulting between the business and a technical team, serving as a liaison)
• Experience in Health Insurance Exchanges (HIX)/Medicaid Eligibility or Healthcare Eligibility/Enrollment in general
• Industry knowledge of tools, techniques, and industry best-practices in an Agile environment
