Department Overview Commercial Banking is accountable for holistically assessing, aggregating, and effectively managing risks across all risk types and CB lines of business. It has three main programs: Business Control, Risk Control, and Cross-Functional Control. About the Role Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Consultant in Financial Crimes Risk as part of Commercial Banking. The Business Execution Consultant will be part of the Commercial Banking Financial Crimes (CBFCR) Financial Crimes Quality Assurance (FCQA) team. The Business Execution Consultant will be assigned to sustainability testing on CB programs and design and execute on review activities for both BAU (Business as Usual) programs and issue management corrective actions to ensure process and controls are functioning effectively and communicating output to assigned business groups. In this role you will: Lead the strategy and resolution of complex transformation initiatives with unique challenges related to business execution that require consulting on business initiatives, understanding the businesses needs, and delivering long term and large-scale solutions Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of business and serve as an experienced consultant to leadership group with strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail with ability to draw conclusions and translate findings Support cross functional teams using business expertise and provide guidance to diverse partner groups within and across line of business Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities Research moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives using required analytical skills, basic knowledge of organizational strategy, business execution Create recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business and utilize independent judgement to guide moderate risk deliverables Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that include risk mitigation, efficiency, and client/customer experience Drive the implementation of innovative and significant business solutions Collaborate and consult with peers and leadership Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing assurance reviews to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives Determine areas of strength or opportunities within defined scope of work Review and research strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations Partner with the onshore team to present recommendations to develop, implement and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance and justifications in during exceptions Provide work direction to less experienced staff Partner to plan and execute a variety of new initiatives, remediations or special projects Review basic initiatives including policy or process changes, process improvements, technology enhancements and conduct regular reviews to identify efficiencies and cost saving opportunities Take lead to prepare the monthly business reviews, dashboards and to ensure the metrics are created and shared with the leadership team Proven and demonstrated leadership skills including relationship building, partnering and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in and negotiate with a diverse group of key business partners/stakeholders including senior management Fully aware of Business Continuity and resiliency plans and participate in simulation exercises Strong ability to work independently, and to effectively interact with process owners and business partners Exposure and proven track records in reporting and MIS Demonstrated experience in identifying root cause(s) of issues, developing solutions that mitigate risk, and finding opportunities to improve efficiencies Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business, finance or economics. Experience of more than 12+ years Knowledge in Risk management Strong analytical skills Fluency in English (written and verbal) Job Expectations: Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, actively participate in projects/discussions, work through problems and help reach decisions that are in the best interest of the Company and our customers Highly motivated, well-organized and able to executive responsibilities with minimal supervision; ability to prioritize multiple tasks; and bring tasks to completion within established timeframes Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification or equivalent Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change Exposure and proven track records in reporting and MIS
