About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst Guidewire PolicyCenter professional to lead requirement analysis, solution design, and business process alignment for large-scale PolicyCenter implementations. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional understanding of the insurance policy lifecycle, product modeling, and Guidewire Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring business goals are effectively translated into technical deliverables.This role demands a strong mix of domain expertise, system understanding, and stakeholder management, supporting the full spectrum of PolicyCenter modules including submission, quoting, binding, issuance, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Requirement Management :
- Lead requirement gathering sessions and conduct workshops with business users, underwriters, and product owners.
- Analyze and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements across multiple PolicyCenter modules.
- Define and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows aligning with PolicyCenter capabilities.
Functional & Technical Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams (developers, testers, architects).
- Translate business requirements into clear, structured functional specifications and process documents.
- Partner with solution architects to validate feasibility and ensure design consistency with Guidewire best practices.
- Provide end-to-end support during configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), and deployment cycles.
Solution Design & Product Modeling
- Lead discussions around Advanced Product Designer (APD) for PolicyCenter configurations and product model extensions.
- Conduct impact analysis for change requests, ensuring compliance with Guidewire Cloud standards.
- Support product configuration and rating logic design aligned with organizational underwriting guidelines.
Governance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure traceability of requirements through all project phases.
- Validate system functionality against business scenarios during UAT and coordinate defect triage.
- Maintain high-quality documentation standards including BRDs, FRDs, traceability matrices, and configuration guides.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
Guidewire PolicyCenter Expertise :
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst (not as a developer/tester) in Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations.
Domain Knowledge
- Deep understanding of Insurance Policy Lifecycle, Policy Administration, Product Modeling, and Underwriting processes.
Technical Competence
- Proficiency in Advanced Product Designer (APD) and Guidewire Cloud Platform (GCP) for product configuration and extension.
Methodologies
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with distributed global teams.
Stakeholder Communication
- Proven capability to interact with senior business users, architects, and delivery leadership with clarity and precision.
