Responsibilities
- Process and analyze point cloud data from laser scans to create accurate 3D representations.
- Convert point cloud data into detailed BIM models using Revit and specialized Scan to BIM software. - Perform quality control checks to ensure model accuracy against scan data. - Identify and document existing building conditions and potential conflicts. - Create detailed as-built documentation from scan data. - Coordinate with field teams to resolve data collection issues and ensure complete coverage. - Optimize workflows for efficient point cloud to BIM conversion. - Maintain project schedules and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven expertise in processing point cloud data and creating BIM models. - Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and point cloud processing software. - Experience with laser scanning technology and related software (such as ReCap, CloudCompare, Cyclone). - Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles. - Experience in handling large point cloud datasets. - Demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy in as-built modeling.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of various laser scanning hardware and methodologies.
- Experience with clash detection and coordination. - Familiarity with programming or scripting for automation. - Experience with reality capture workflows. - Knowledge of construction documentation and standards.
