Senior Backend Engineer

Description:

• Design and develop backend services for a large-scale, multi-tenant AI SaaS platform leveraging Java, Python, and Node.js technologies.
• Own backend domains end-to-end, from data modeling to defining API contracts ensuring consistency and clarity for external and internal consumers.
• Build microservices that adhere strictly to architectural, security, and compliance guidelines, promoting scalability and maintainability.
• Implement command-based backend logic with full audit trails to support traceability and data governance requirements.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs consumed by a variety of clients including web, mobile, and AI-driven systems.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, mobile engineers, AI specialists, quality assurance testers, and DevOps teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to developing standards and best practices for backend system architecture and engineering across the platform.
• Deploy and maintain backend services using Docker containers and AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2 instances, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, and Amazon API Gateway.
• Model multi-tenant database schemas using both SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and NoSQL databases to ensure data isolation and compliance.
• Apply strong system design principles to go beyond simple CRUD operations by designing robust workflows and automation using backend services.
• Ensure backend systems are compliant with security and regulatory standards common in regulated industries, incorporating audit logging and traceability.
• Participate in technical discussions and reviews that influence the architecture and direction of the platform.
• Maintain code quality, conduct testing, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the reliability and correctness of backend services over the long term.
